Mastering Space

In 2022, the Tbilisi General Plan developed by City Institute Georgia (CIG) received the Gold Award from an international jury at the first Prix d'Excellence Awards Gala organized by FIABCI-Georgia, the Georgian chapter of the International Real Estate Federation.
City Institute Georgia has been operating since 2015 and is today the leading project design and consultancy organization in Georgia.
Since its founding, City Institute Georgia has been actively implementing large-scale spatial and urban planning projects across various regions of Georgia. The organization's work encompasses the preparation of spatial planning and urban development documentation at all levels, including spatial development plans, general plans, development plans, building regulation plans, and detailed development plans. Over the years, the company has delivered significant urban projects at both local and regional levels.

Trust and Recognition
City Institute Georgia (CIG) is a trusted partner to municipalities across Georgia, contributing to the planning and development of settlements of strategic national importance.
City Institute Georgia developed the Tbilisi Land Use Master Plan (2015–2018); the Gori Land Use Master Plan (2017–2019); the Borjomi General and Development Plans (2023–2025); The Spatial Development Plan for Saguramo and Surrounding Settlements (2023–2025);
CIG is currently working on the Mukhrani Valley Spatial Development Plan, led by Arup, as well as on the development of Spatial Development and Development Management Documentation for Batumi City Municipality. The organization is also working on the Revision and Update of the General Plan, Development Plan, and Detailed Development Plan for the Maltakva District – Municipality of Poti, in partnership with Studio 9.

The organization's high level of competence and credibility is further reinforced by its collaboration with Europe's leading companies, enabling us to introduce innovative approaches and international best practices in urban planning into the Georgian context.
In 2022, at the inaugural Prix d'Excellence Awards Gala organized by FIABCI-Georgia, City Institute Georgia was named "Gold Winner" by an international jury for the development of the Tbilisi General Plan and was awarded the "Oscar of Real Estate." This recognition is a clear testament to our professional accountability, adherence to international standards, and commitment to quality-driven practice.

Collaboration
We collaborate with Georgian municipalities, the private sector, civil society, and local and international professional and academic communities. Our objectives are to:
